FAQ

Purchasing

New work by Aldea artists will be advertised via social media and on our blog. The best way to hear about upcoming work and gallery activities is to sign up for our quarterly newsletter.

All on-line purchases must go through the Aldea website, which accepts PayPal, ApplePay, and all major credit cards. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept checks or other forms of payment other than those listed on the website.

Shipping

Paintings & Prints: Framed and unframed paintings & prints will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and paper to cushion them, and can be shipped in boxes if requested. If you wish to purchase a painting or print that is framed, but would like to purchase it unframed instead, we can remove the frame & usually subtract the cost of the frame from your purchase.

Quilted Tapestries: Since tapestries are made of fabric, they can be rolled up and placed inside long, cylindrical mailing tubes.

Heirloom Quilts, Baby Quilts & Quilted Pillows: Large, heirloom quilts and quilted pillows will be boxed for shipping. Baby quilts will be shipped either in boxes or in cylindrical mailing tubes.

Hand-painted Wood Items & Furniture: Depending on the size of the piece, it may be shipped in a box or may be wrapped for cushioning purposes. Extremely large items, such as large cabinets, will not be shipped & must be picked up from the gallery because of the significant risk of damage that might occur.

Ceramics: Ceramics will be wrapped in bubble wrap and paper to cushion them, and will often be placed in boxes for shipping.

Jewelry: Jewelry will be placed in boxes and shipped.

All items will be shipped either USPS, UPS or FedEx, insured, to assure they arrive quickly and safely. Shipping charges to all continental US destinations will be included in the purchase price, and will include the cost of all packing material and actual shipping fees. Additional charges for international and non-continental shipping will be invoiced separately.

We are happy to ship worldwide, including to the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and more.

Please allow up to 2-3 weeks for domestic orders and 3-4 weeks or more for international orders to ship. If your purchase will take longer to ship, we’ll let you know. Actual delivery times are dependent upon the shipping service. Tracking information will be provided for all orders, although tracking for international orders often stops at the U.S. border, as shipments are transferred from U.S. providers to their international counterparts.

International buyers, please note that shipping charges may vary from the amount you pay at checkout, and if this occurs you’ll be invoiced for any additional shipping due prior to shipment.

Please email Donna at donna@movealready.com with questions or to get an estimate. Also note that shipments may be subject to duties, taxes and/or fees according to your country’s regulations. Please consult your local customs office for more details about duties and taxes; the buyer is responsible for these costs.

Framing

Many of Aldea’s paintings & prints are framed, but we do not offer framing services.

If you would like a custom frame created for your work we recommend that you check out a local frame shop first as they will probably have the best selection of quality frames and most are local small businesses!  Win Win!

Returns

All sales are final. Our goal is for you to be very happy with your purchase, and every order will be handled with care. Please take the time to read listing descriptions carefully and check colors on multiple screens since there are always color variations between computer screens. We try our best to represent the colors and tones in our work as accurately as possible.

Galleries and Shops

We are always excited when a gallery or shop reaches out to us to show our artists’ work! For enquiries about representation, email Donna at donna@movealready.com.

Press

Donna loves working with bloggers, editors, stylists, and writers!  You are free to use any images on our website for your article, just please credit Aldea Gallery and the artist when you use them.  If you have any questions, please email Donna at donna@movealready.com. She will be happy to provide more information.

Who Actually Owns the Painting

As is the standard in the art world, the artist who created the work retains the copyright © and all rights to the artwork they create. This includes the rights to the image of sold & commissioned original paintings. We retain the right to make reproductions of any and all artwork we create, unless the collector has purchased full or partial rights to the work at an additional cost.  Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing full or partial rights to your painting.  Some collectors chose to purchase an artist’s right to reproduce the artwork to ensure it will never become a print.  We are happy to discuss this option with collectors; please email Donna at donna@movealready.com.

When you purchase an original painting, you, the collector, have the right to display the artwork, but may not reproduce the artwork in any way, including but not limited to having prints made for personal use, or to sell without the artist’s prior written permission.

If the artwork is reproduced in a magazine or other media we only ask for credit in the published piece. And congratulations, because this means your piece is amazing!
